The Provincial Government of Bukidnon (PGB) gave honor to farmers who abundantly surpass in different field of farming for the Gawad Saka Outstanding Achievers 2012. Governor Jose Ma. R. Zubiri, Jr. with the Provincial Agriculturist, Engr. Alson G. Quimba extended P15, 000 cash reward, 1 sack of 18 kilograms corn seeds and 1 sack of 40 kilograms of certified rice seeds to deserving farmers of this province during the Convocation Program, July 1, 2013.
Engr. Quimba explains that the provincial government wants to recognize those farmers who attain exemplary achievements in farming and to motivate them that there is profit in agriculture.

These awardees were also the winners on the city/ municipal level. The Provincial Agriculture Office will then submit this to the Department of Agriculture Region X to select on winners for the Regional Level.
Engr. Quimba informed every farmer that the evaluation for the Gawad Saka Outstanding Achievers for 2013 is still on the process.
With this, Governor Zubiri expressed his great appreciation to these awardees and encouraged them to continue cultivating our land and be a model in giving food security to our brothers.
